Property Standards

Our objective is to be able to use and deserve the motto:  "Captain Cook Resorts - the place to stay in Honolulu if you are lucky enough to get in."  To this end we are constantly encouraging owners to provide us with the best possible properties to present to the traveling public.  We find a higher demand, and thus higher occupancy rate, for the better properties.  We have four classifications of properties, generally described as follows.  Some degree of subjectivity on our part does enter here since wear and tear will vary with units, and dependent to some degree on the quality of materials used initially.

1.  Premier - Renovated within the last ten years, to include all new kitchen and baths (including appliances and fixtures), flooring and window coverings, and refurnished within the past five years with all new furniture,  bedding and carpet if a carpeted property.  This highest class of property normally commands room rates of between 10% and 20% higher than a superior rated property.

2.  Superior - Renovated within the last ten years, to include all new kitchen and bath, flooring and window coverings,  new furniture,  and bedding.

3.  Moderate - Less recently upgraded with ocean or mountain views.

4.  Budget - Less recent upgrades.  Good value for less money.
